Thursday, November 14, 2013. Moriko drew a girl with a long, pointed tail sitting down and looking back over her shoulder. Moriko was not a great artist. The lines were simple, but the eyes of the demon-girl were sad. Second period was better for seeing Diana, but worse for being under the eye of her father. He spoke with her in English, where everyone could hear about her first class and whether or not there was homework.

Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Imagine an underground river arrested in its rush to the sea, its currents stilled, its waves frozen in place. Winding through the petrified churnings and cascades are dark arteries of air where men can travel, hidden from the sky. In the world of my novel, the stone river can take the traveler to unexpected places, or show him odd things. Maybe a bit like this blog.
